    • "This poster art was initially commissioned by the Sierra Club to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the formation of the Arctic Refuge and bore the SC logo and the F&WS seal. It was published as a limited edition of 600 signed serigraph prints and used exclusively as gifts to supporters of Arctic Refuge conservation. This second edition uses a generic DOI seal and remains an open edition. The image features the Sheenjek River and the silhouettes of Olaus and Mardie Murie who spent their lives dedicated to the preservation of this corner of Alaska. The idea for this design was borrowed from an old photograph that hung in Mardy Murie's home in Moose, Wyoming and was also the basis for a painting by Magnus Colcord "Rusty" Herulin which hangs in the Museum of the North in Fairbanks Alaska."
